This outfit, I must confess, it totally misleading. Sure I look all put together with my high heels and made up face. But yeah, these pants, this sweater shell – so comfortable! I mean, we’re talking pajama-like. These pants replace my old favorites from summer as my go-to for travel, and this cozy black shell could be the softest thing on the planet. So yes, sure…I look all fancy but now you know it’s all a facade. This girl loves comfort!
We had the most gorgeous cool-ish weather here in DC last weekend. Which was good, because Jessica came into town for a quick work trip (we’re going nation wide so soon!) and to play tourist in my city for a few days. The beautiful Melrose Hotel in Georgetown hosted us for a couple nights and when we weren’t enjoying their giant cozy beds and indulging at their Jardenea restaurant, we were walking all over town as I tried to teach this former Canadian a little bit about American’s history. (Jessica lived in Canada as a kid and clearly missed a LOT of classes on presidents and national events…it was hilarious!) This dress was my uniform for sure. I told y’all I had to pick it up and well, I’m super obsessed. It’s the softest cotton and hugs in all the rights places (yay for a dress that gives me a booty!). Even though Jessica’s trip has ended, I’ve already worn this dress 3 times in the week I’ve had it. I mean, when you’re walking all over town, you’ve got to be comfortable, and this dress is my new favorite.
