Burgundy, wine, oxblood, merlot – whatever you want to call it, this color is back for another round this season. I’ve always been a lover of this rich red shade, whether it’s in an outfit or with a sultry lipstick. So while we get ready to pile on all the black and navy this fall, why don’t you try adding a little burgundy into the mix! Make a statement with an oxblood pant, or keep it simple with a merlot manicure. Whatever you do, don’t forget to incorporate this seasons hottest color into your next look!
I’m all about finding ways to re-work pieces in my wardrobe, especially now that we’re in the season of layers, it’s basically a necessity. I’m not really a blazer/skirt-suit kind of girl, so when I had to head out for a work meeting the other day, I went for an easy layered look that still felt professional, but wasn’t stuffy. I typically wear this sleeveless sweater with distressed denim for a more casual look, but when layered with a pencil skirt and cinched in with a textured belt, I love how this whole look came together in a fun way, while still providing warmth from the cool fall temperatures we’ve had in DC post-Hurricane Joaquin.
