As you know, I spent the earlier portion of the week in New York City. Myself and Jessica had planned meet with a bunch of brands as we plan our 3rd Annual Southern Blog Society Conference. Of course, as I mentioned before, the weather was downright freezing, majority of our meetings were canceled, any my daily looks resembled this head to toe black ensemble, as there’s no point in looking that cute when you can’t feel your fingers and toes. So given that I spent most of my week in dark blacks and grays, I figured I’d lighten things up a bit with this sweet and soft shades for winter. Sometimes you just need to change things up a bit.
Well, me and Jessica (of My Style Vita) sure know how to plan a trip, don’t we! We were up in NYC from Sunday till yesterday with a load of meetings planned as we prep for our 3rd Annual Southern Blog Society Conference this summer. Well, thanks to super storm Juno, the whole city shut down and we were forced to reschedule just about everything. I threw on this easy shift dress as a base for all my layers to stay warm as we roamed the somewhat quiet city. Basically our work trip turned into 3 days of wine, naps, giant meals and binge-watching Food Network from the comfort of our hotel bed. Oh well, next time NYC, next time.
