How To Style A J.Crew Bandana Neck Scarf - Poor Little It Girl

I realize I am totally late to the game when it comes to the bandana neck scarf trend. Honestly, I think I just saw a lot of people doing it with the wrong kind of scarves I was a bit confused. But once I realized that the thin, smaller bananas were the way to go well…I was hooked. This one from J.Crew is only $12 so you don’t have to worry about a big splurge. I must have tried it on with every top in my closet before deciding on this off the shoulder look.

Honestly, this neck scarf is a great way to bring your summer off the shoulder tops into the cooler season as it provides a (very small) bit of coverage. I mean, I am in no way staying warm with this thing on my neck but dang, it sure looks cool! I also think the scarf looks great underneath structured button front shirts and crewneck knits. Any way you wear it, this one easy trend totally worth trying this season!

And yes, we’re in the home stretch! Tickets are still available for our Blog Societies Workshop here in Atlanta this coming weekend! Open to members and non-TBS members – if you’re a blogger in the area make sure you snag a ticket before they’re gone!

Very cute look! I haven’t really worn the bandana trend, but I’m not sure it’s for me. You know when you see something you love on someone else, but you try it, and no matter how many ways you try to make it work, it just doesn’t feel like you? Yeah, that’s how I feel about this one. Maybe someday I’ll get it right, but until then, I’ll just be over here with my regular scarves, admiring the bandana girls from afar. ;)

It took me a while to come around to it so I totally understand! Sometimes certain trends just don’t work for certain people and that’s OK! xoxo Cathy
