Beauty Review – Blowout Bar DC

Poor Little It Girl - Blowout Bar DC

I never really got into the whole “blowout” thing until I moved to Atlanta and the humidity did a number on my hair. Sure while living in New  York City before that you’d hear just about every magazine editor say “I need to schedule a blowout at the salon before Fashion Week!” but I never really thought much to giving it a go myself. Well now, I consider myself a full-fledge blowout addict! Earlier this week I popped on over to Blowout Bar here in DC for an early morning hair fix (I got the Stella) and was so impressed by not only the quality of my blowout but how quickly they were able to get it done, all for $35! Two enthusiastic thumbs up from this Poor Little It Girl on a great blowout salon option here in the DC area.

I Loved You Grey Sweat Pants, No Makeup, So Perfect. Our Love Was Comfortable And So Broken In…

Poor Little It Girl Beauty Overhaul{image c/o Social Cafe Magazine}

My makeup bag is at least three years old and, well…it’s looking a little rough. The old fabric case is falling apart and there is enough spilt product inside that even I’m grossed out. With that said, I’m on a mission to find a new cosmetic bag to hold my small makeup collection. Here are a few styles, both large and small, that are on the top of my list. Oh, and a few brushes I wouldn’t mind adding to my new bag too!

Poor Little It Girl Cosmetic Bag Roundup

1. Forever 21, $6.80 | 2. Candy Store, $20 | 3. Tory Burch, $47.60
4. Stephanie Johnson, $42 | 5. MICHAEL Michael Kors, $78

Put Your Lips Close To Mine As Long As They Don’t Touch, Out Of Focus Eye To Eye…

I wouldn’t really call it a resolution, but I’ve made it my mission to do a serious overhaul on my beauty/makeup routine for 2013. I’m off to a pretty good start, but want to continue to be more mindful of what I’m using since, well…I’m a lot closer to 30 than to 20 years old. Here are a few new products I’ve incorporated into my beauty bag over the holidays that I’m obsessed with. The custom blend foundation from Prescriptives is by far my #1 stunner, but all of these are such happy additions to my primping routine.poorlittleitgirl.com, beauty 2013 1poorlittleitgirl.com, beauty 2013 2
