Karen Of The Carpenters, Singing In The Rain. Another Lovely Victim Of The Mirror’s Evil Way…

I had high hopes for a fun Labor Day weekend. Instead, I was on the couch with a cold, spent entirely too many hours staring at my laptop doing work, and to top it off – rain. Even though I needed rest, sometimes it’s important to get out of the house and move a little. And even though I’m never a huge fan of the rain (hello…frizzy hair!) I actually do enjoy rocking my wellies once in a while. Every girl should be well prepared for rainy days with the basics, #1 being a good pair of rain boots. No, not the kind with lady bugs on them or rainbow stripes, keep things neutral so they go with any outfit and people don’t mistake you for a twelve years old. I also am sort of feeling these “rainy day” flats that are everywhere in stores…perfect for a quick run out the door! A fabulous at-the-knee trench is always a must every season, paired with an easy scarf to draw some attention to your face, and toped off with a retro clear umbrella! All set for a fab day…in the rain!
