Poor Little It Girl in NYC - J.Crew Cobalt Blue Coat, Oasis Skinny Jeans and Gap Basic Black Tee

Coat: J.Crew (last seen here) | Tee: Gap | Boots: Sole Society | Necklace: Lydell NYC
Pants: c/o Oasis | Hat: Old Navy (similar by ASOS) | Clutch: c/o Gigi New York

So funny story about this look, I started off the day rocking my favorite faux leather pants to give this outfit a bit of an edgy vibe. Well, as I was heading to my first showroom appointment of the day during NYFW, I look down and yep, both sides of the inner thighs of the pants, including my Britney area were totally ripped, for all the world to see! Thank the baby Jesus for the amazing team over at Style House PR for supplying me with these killer jacquard skinnies to get me through the day! They’re a dark navy color and fun texture worked perfectly with my whole look. Needless to say, I threw those old crappy faux leather pants away soon after.

Thank you for posting about your pants ripping! I had the same thing happen this morning (of course the morning of an important meeting) and it made me feel so much better that it happens to the best of us. Even you at fashion week!

One day at work a couple of years ago I wore this one skirt I’d bought at NY&Co on super clearance. It fit beautifully and was so cute paired with tights. About halfway through the workday I noticed that the skirt was starting to split up the side seams, and it was totally ripped apart by the end of the day! Fortunately I had a blanket in my desk drawer because the office was often freezing cold, plus a coworker let me borrow some safety pins. Had it not been for those two things I would have been indecent!
