How To Style A One Shoulder Ruffled Top - Poor Little It Girl

If one shoulder is the new off the shoulder trend, let’s just say I am 100% on board with that! I feel like I’m seeing one shoulder necklines just about everywhere for spring! You probably remember me gushing over this top in my Weekly Weakness a couple weeks ago. I was so excited when it was able to make its way into my closet soon after that post. It’s such a fun and flirty spring shirt, and I love how the seersucker stripes give it a totally preppy vibe too.

And before y’all even ask, no clue how I was able to do this to my hair! Haha! I kind of went off my other braided hair tutorial, but I started it farther over and did a dutch braid rather then going underneath. Then I just pulled it back into a messy bun/pony tail thing. Not sure why, but this has quickly become my new go-to every day hair style. I’m trying not to wash my hair as much as I used to (going for every 2-3 days) and a braid is a great way to keep it out of my face when it starts to get dirty/greasy. Plus it holds better that way which is a major bonus.

This is such a cute outfit, Cathy! I’ve been wanting to get some espadrilles since last summer, but I was a little weary about how they’d look on me or how I’d style them. You’ve styled them beautifully and have given me some ideas for this spring and summer. Thanks for the post!

Hey Cathy! Can you tell me how this top runs? Is it TTS? Just want to make sure it is not too fitted around the arms holes. Looks SO cute on you :) Thanks!

Love this whole look, so Spring! But the hair/earring combo has me hooked. Time to dust off my braiding skills :)

First off I haven’t been to your blog since the relaunch of the new design and WOW I am loving it! It looks so awesome Cathy. So clean and easy to follow. Onto your outfit and hair look, this braid is so nice and I am going to attempt it in the summer heat because FL is unbearable and I hate having my hair down in the humidity! The embroidery on your top is too cute. I love the off-the-shoulder, too!
