In an attempt to try new styles this season, I realized I wanted to invest in more skirt this fall, particularly pencil skirts. I own this one but yeah…that’s about it. As one who always enjoys standing out with updated, classic, cuts, it’s no surprise this satin skirt from ASOS caught my eye last night (while I was purchasing this new maxi dress…whoops!). Not only am I swooning over the silky fabrication, but the folded detailing at the top is what really makes this piece extra special. While I could totally see this working for the office with a cozy knit, I also love the idea of dressing this up for a fun holiday party, too!
Going out of your fashion “comfort zone” can be a good thing. Case in point: this boho-style printed dress I picked up from Chicwish. We all know I typically go for dresses with a defined waistline, so when I randomly added this loose, flowing piece to my online shopping cart, I figured “what the hell” without really expecting anything amazing. Well, it turns out I am in l-o-v-e with this dress! I featured it on my Instagram a couple weeks ago and y’all freaked out about how much you were digging the new look…so I figured it was about time it show up here on PLIG. Paired with suede heels (yes, these are the same ones from yesterday in another color. I love them that much!) and an oversized hat, this breezy dress is easily transitioning into the new fall season.
