It’s been almost a year since I gave you a tour of our last apartment. As you may remember, right after I did the post, we had to move. Luckily though, we found a great little spot that we’ve been in the past year that I love even more. (You saw my whole space in my first ever blog video too!) So when we lost our big wall of bookshelves, I had to find a new way to bring visual interest into our living room, so I was so excited to partner with Minted to help me with some great design pieces for the space. My only goal was to take our 850 sq. foot place (hey, we live in the city…apartments are tiny!) and give each space it’s own defined feeling, but still feel like everything was cohesive and had a nice flow throughout the room.
I knew right away I wanted bold artwork above the sofa for a focal point. Minted actually has a Mix & Match section where they show you different peices of art that work together to create a fun and elegant gallery wall look, which made things so much easier! Once the art was set, I knew I wanted accent pillows that were bold, but still fell in line with the theme of the room. Minted’s Home section now carries an array of pillows, curtains, lampshades and table linens that can help give life to your space.
Now here comes the fun part: want to decorate your home with some great pieces from Minted, too! Well here’s your chance to enter to win $150 towards your own Minted.com purchase with a big GIVEAWAY! Giveaway will be open from 3/15-3/22 and winner will be randomly selected and contacted directly soon after giveaway closes. Good luck!
Thank you Jessica for convincing me to get a screen for my desk so I wasn’t always on my laptop. I just plug it in and bam! So much better on my eyes and my wrist, now that I use a real mouse, instead of just being on my little laptop all the time! (Clearly you can tell I didn’t stage this photo as I forgot to hide all my cords and my ugly camera bag is siting there…ugh!)
This is one of my favorite new pieces that I picked up from Minted. It’s foil artwork of the DC skyline, and on the far right end is the National Cathedral. That’s where Adam proposed to me, so this piece is extra special and something I know I’ll have for a long time.
One of the best engagement gifts we got was The 5 Languages of Love book! Seriously, I can’t put it down! Anyone else ever read it? Did you like it as well? Everyone said it was a must read!
