I often get asked where I get inspiration for my style. Sure I flip through magazines and check out what my fellow bloggers are up to, but believe it or not, it’s the way looks are styled on some of my most beloved shopping sites that really get me thinking of my own outfits! Once I spotted this easy but still elegant springtime look on Anthropologie last week, the wheels got to turning on how I could recreate it with my own wardrobe. I love the undone look with the knotted tunic, and an easy crossbody bag with jeweled sandals – a total must! But really, let’s be honest, those lace shorts need to be mine (in both colors) because they’re just way too perfect!

Soft shades for the new season feel fresh and fun. In a winter full of head to toe black, doing light layers in neutral shades of blush, white and gray seemed like the appropriate look as I headed to work in 50 something degree temperatures this past weekend. Sure winter hasn’t left officially (yes, that’s snow still on the ground and yes, I wore my favorite gray coat on top of this look post-picture taking) but I’ll take these little signs of springtime whenever I can.
