If funny how you can purchase one item and think you’re only going to wear it one specific way, but end up finding so many other ways to mix and match other pieces in your closet to create new, unique looks. Case and point with this printed midi skirt. Last seen here, I figured this piece was always meant for a soft blouse and black heels. Well, I decided to have a bit of fun and take this skirt in a totally different look with sheer lace, bold orange shoes and a printed head scarf. Add on lots of gold jewelry and this gypsy sort of look is fun for an evening event or weekend lunch.
Sometimes, purchasing a party dress for no real reason is the best way to get yourself out of a rut. For example, I was having a pretty miserable day at work a couple weeks ago, and stopped into H&M where I spotted this dress from across the room. I have no upcoming fancy events, and my dinner plans usually revolve around Chipotle, so this dress really had no place in my life at this time. Even still, I picked it up and brought her home, and we’ve been in love ever since! The open back definitely is eye catching, and the lace detailing makes this piece look extra luxe. Needless to say, purchasing this dress was a good way to end what had started off as a not so great day.
