I’m always searching for the right bag to carry all my stuff. I’m not talking about a sexy clutch for date night or a professional looking workbag with a fancy label, what I need is a great tote I can throw everything from my laptop, flats, snacks and a couple magazines in on days when I’m out running errands and doing blogger-esque things. So how cute are these bags from Target?! The fun summertime prints are what really caught my eye, but they are large enough, most importantly, to carry all my previously mentioned junk. I think I’ll take one of each, please! (Target Printed Toes in Pineapple, Bicycles, Palm Trees – $19.99)

Sure I love Chipotle, Dawson’s Creek reruns and a great sad song by Taylor Swift…but there is one thing I love more than ALL of those amazing things combined. Yep, that would be puppies, rescue puppies to be more specific. So when my former boss, mentor, and all around amazing friend was spreading the word about her involvement with Rescue the Runway, I just knew I had to share the love via Poor Little It Girl.
Mr. Bones & Co. is an animal welfare non-profit dedicated to assisting animal rescue groups with fundraising and financial support through special events and their signature benefit, Rescue the Runway, debuts tomorrow, May 15th, in NYC. This event, which includes some dapper dogs strutting their stuff down the runway and an amazing roster of silent auction items, is donating 100% of their profits to three extremely worthy animal welfare/rescue groups serving the greater New York City/NJ area. So if you’re in NYC tomorrow night, or want to just make a donation to support this great cause, check out the RTR site and see how you can get involved, or at least score yourself one fabulous Rescue Is The New Black tee!

Yesterday I was taking outfit pictures for this week and it didn’t’ go so well. My clothes felt tight and I was hating everything about my body. As I huffed and puffed upstairs to change into my sweatpants I realized, “Oh crap! I need a new swimsuit for my trip next month!” Since moving to DC and spending my time hopelessly (and unsuccessfully) looking for a job, my physical activity has dwindled to nothing. To get me motivated to get my butt into shape I decided to do a bit of swimsuit shopping. With so many cute styles out right now, it’s hard to pick just one style I want! So thank you itty bitty bikini for providing me that extra push I need to workout before swimsuit season is in full swing!
