I don’t usually shop at Forever 21. The large selection overwhelms me and the loud music make my head hurt. But once in a while, I’ll venture in and do a quick scan (I don’t walk in more than 20 feet before I usually turn around). One of these special times was when I found this top. I feel like I’m channeling my inner Elle Fanning in this black and white bow blouse, a style that can be found everywhere right now. Paired with killer black jeans and a red lip…I’m in love!

I love taking my favorite shades for autumn and mixing them to create one great look. Here we have plum, black, navy, red and, of course, sunny yellow. While it’s easy to hibernate in the cooler season under lots of dark colors, adding in that pop of something bright can really bring your whole outfit to life!

(p.s.: Photo shoots are way more fun when an adorable little pup strolls on set!)

Sometimes you just have to slow down from all the crazy trends and colors and bring it back to the basics. On a gloomy, rainy and unproductive day, it’s nice to throw on my most comfortable basic t-shirt and glamorous full skirt to showcase my favorite combination no matter the season: black and white.
