You read that title correctly (thanks for the lyric, Danity Kane) it hit 70 degrees and that means I finally get to go outside and not complain about wearing a coat, scarf or hat. I love this casual dress (it’s actually a top but my short frame allows me to get away with it) layered with a chambray for an easy and comfortable weekend look. I wish I could say the fedora was a purposeful fashion statement, but really I just was having a bad hair day and needed to cover the mess. Here’s to hoping this nice weather, and comfy-casual weekend outfits, are here to stay!

The black and white trend has got to be one of my favorite fashion styles for spring. I purchased this dress from Madewell on super-sale before the holidays (they have the short sleeve version of it out now here) and paired it with my beloved panama hat and worn in (i.e. old) black loafers. I’d like to think that the fashion gods would give me their stylish stamp of approval by staying so on-trend.

I love taking my favorite shades for autumn and mixing them to create one great look. Here we have plum, black, navy, red and, of course, sunny yellow. While it’s easy to hibernate in the cooler season under lots of dark colors, adding in that pop of something bright can really bring your whole outfit to life!

(p.s.: Photo shoots are way more fun when an adorable little pup strolls on set!)
