Weekly Weakness – Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

·

As I type this post, it’s 80 degrees outside. That means we’ve completely bypassed spring and are well into summer weather it seems. With that, I can’t stand the thought of piling on the same full-coverage foundation I wore all winter during this heatwave. Instead, I look to tinted moisturizers to give me a smooth complexion without the weight. I recently purchased this version from Laura Mercier and am blown away by how much I love it! It goes on lightweight, blends perfectly into my skin (I wear the porcelain shade), and is oil-free! If you’re looking to update your makeup routine this spring, I certainly recommend this tinted moisturizer.

I use this all the time! It’s one of my favorite cover ups! I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes it!

I’ve looked into using this product (or any tinted moisturizer in general), but I can’t figure out if you’re supposed to use it on top of regular moisturizer. Do you use a foundation brush to apply it? Would love some tips! Thanks!

Ooooh I will have to try this! The weather has been warming up in Atlanta (with the exception of our random cold snap the last two days) and I have been looking to transition from my heavier foundation into something lighter for the warm weather. Can’t wait to go to Sephora to check it out! Thanks for the great recommendation :) So glad I joined SBS and have found so many wonderful blogs like yours!

I completely agree that a heavy foundation is just too much to bear during the warmer months. Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer is great – but I definitely recommend people go for the Oil Free version over the regular. The regular one can get a bit greasy. Amen for warmer weather!
