Hearing from my readers is one of my favorite things. I love engaging with y’all on Twitter, seeing your comments on Instagram, or even when you stop me on the street to say hello! I will say though, it always discourages me when followers comment on one of my recent looks “You look amazing, but I’d look terrible in this!” or “I’d look disgusting in that…but you look great!” While I of course appreciate the time you take out to let me know your thoughts (as long as they’re not calling me short and ugly and hating on my facial expressions…you know who you are.), I never want my readers to see something here on my site and feel defeated because they think it wouldn’t work for them. I mean, you don’t have to love everything, but when you do love something I’m wearing or sharing, give it a go if you can! A little confidence in yourself can go a long way and it’s contagious to everyone around you. For example, I am only 4’11 and have A cup boobs and zero ass. I realize that some things just don’t fit my petite 14 year old boy frame. However, that doesn’t stop me from trying things I love…and I end up 9 times out of 10 being surprised that something I didn’t think would work on me actually does. For example, I told y’all last week about how I was expecting this top to be terrible on me, but I loved it so much I just had to give it a try. Now, that’s my favorite shirt on the planet and I can’t stop wearing it! Once I got out of the negativity in my head and gave it a go, I was so happy to see that things worked out better than expected! That’s also how I felt about these wide leg pants. Again, my short little legs usually need a fitted pant so I don’t look like I’m going to topple over. But I gave it a go because I loved the shape and color so much online, and lo and behold…LOVE them! And the best part is that even if everyone who follows me doesn’t love me in these pants, I DO and that’s all that matters, not what everyone else thinks. Don’t get me wrong though, sometimes thing just don’t work (I’ll never be able to successfully rock a body con dress with my lack of curves, I accept that!), but don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and try some new things once in a while. Be it clothes or adventures or really anything…have some fun!
